Honeymoon · Jim Corbett · from Delhi
Honeymoon resorts in Jim Corbett
Villas with their own pool, their own veranda, and no shared deck.
We tell you which properties are quiet — and whether there is a wedding booked on site the week you arrive.
Why Corbett
Close enough to Delhi to drive, far enough in to have the pool to yourselves
Corbett is the nearest place to Delhi where a private-pool villa in real forest is an ordinary thing rather than something you fly to. No flights, no connections and no airport at either end — you leave after breakfast and you are in the valley by afternoon.
What most agents will not tell you is that these same resorts sell destination weddings. That is the part we handle differently.
2 a.m.
Most resorts here also host weddings, and nobody mentions it
A four-hundred-guest sangeet with a DJ running until two in the morning is not what you booked. It is the commonest way a Corbett honeymoon goes wrong, and it is almost never raised at the time of booking.
We ask the property before anything is confirmed. If there is an event on site during your dates, we tell you and we move you.
What we check before we confirm
- Whether a wedding or a corporate group is booked on your dates
- How far the nearest villa is, and whether your pool is overlooked
- Whether the property runs a DJ or live music, and until when
- Whether in-villa dining is available, or meals are buffet only
- Which zone is open, so the morning safari is not a wasted drive
Villas you do not share a pool with
All resorts →Each of these publishes a private-pool or jacuzzi villa as a category of its own, rather than a room with pool access. The grading beside each name is ours; the facilities are the ones the property confirms.

When to come
The months, honestly
- Nov – FebCool days, cold nights, bonfires lit. The best of the year for this, and the busiest — ask early.
- Mar – AprWarm, dry and still comfortable. Sightings improve as the water thins out.
- May – JunHot by afternoon, 38°C and above. A villa pool earns its money. Out early and late, rest at noon.
- Jul – OctMonsoon. The core zones close and the southern gates stay open. Green, quiet, and the Ramganga at its best.
Reopening dates are set by the Forest Department each year and we do not print one until it is confirmed. Ask us and we check the portal for your dates rather than guess.
Before you book anywhere
Worth asking, whoever you book through
Ask us, or ask them. We would rather you booked the right thing somewhere else than the wrong thing with us.
Is there an event on site that week?
Weddings and corporate offsites take over a property. Ask for the dates in writing, not a reassurance on the phone.
Is the villa pool overlooked?
“Private pool” sometimes means a pool attached to your villa that the path to reception runs past. Ask what is above it and beside it.
Can we eat in the villa?
Some properties are buffet-only after a certain hour. If a quiet dinner matters, confirm in-villa dining before you pay.
Which zone is open on our dates?
The first question, before the resort. If the answer is vague, ask which gate and which portal it was checked on.
Questions
Asked often
- How many nights?
- Two nights is the least that works — you lose most of the first day to the drive, and one morning safari is not enough. Three is what we recommend.
- Can you guarantee there is no wedding on site?
- We can guarantee that we will ask, and tell you what we are told. We cannot stop a property taking a booking after yours, but we re-check before you travel and we will move you if something changes. No agent can honestly promise more than that.
- Is the villa pool heated?
- At some properties, not all, and between December and February it is the difference between a pool and an ornament. We ask the property for your dates rather than print a list that goes out of date.
- Are safari permits included?
- Permits are booked in your own names on the government portal and you will see your names on them. We do not resell permits and we do not buy them from anyone who does.
- Do you take payment on this site?
- No. We take no payment on this website at all. Any transfer is to the company account against an invoice, never to a personal account or a UPI number. If anyone asks you for an advance to a personal number in the name of a Corbett resort, it is a fraud — it is common here, which is why we say so on every page.
