The practical facts
Aahana sits on thirteen acres at Semalkhaliya, about fifteen minutes from both the Dhela and Jhirna safari zones — which matters in monsoon, when those are the zones still open. Accommodation runs from forest-facing rooms of around 500 sq ft up to four-bedroom pool villas. There is an L'Occitane spa, a large event lawn and ballroom, and the property runs its own water recycling system and keeps a recorded list of the birds and butterflies on site. Guided birdwatching, riverside picnics on the Ramganga and a pickleball court round out the day when you are not in the park.
