Why Corbett
A drive, not a departure
Groups come apart on logistics. Flights mean thirty separate bookings, thirty chances of someone missing a connection, and a cost per head that quietly doubles. Corbett is a coach from Delhi: one departure, one arrival, nobody left at an airport.
It also scales down honestly. Twelve friends and a hundred and twenty colleagues go to the same resorts here — what changes is the room block and the number of jeeps, not the quality of the trip.
The part we handle is the arithmetic that decides whether a group trip works at all: how many rooms one property will release, whether the coach reaches the door, and how many safari jeeps can actually be got for one morning.

One property, or the group stops being a group
The moment a booking splits across two resorts the trip changes. Two bus timings, two dinner services, two bonfires — and the half in the cheaper hotel knows exactly which half they are in.
Corbett makes this easy to get wrong, because a property will happily take part of your group and call the rest manageable.
We shortlist on the block first and get it in writing. If your group genuinely will not fit anywhere, we say so before you are committed rather than after.
What we check for a group booking

- Whether a 45-seater reaches the porch, or parks somewhere else
- Triple sharing, and what the third bed really is
- Whether meals are a fixed buffet at a fixed hour for a group your size
- Safari vehicles — six to a jeep, and permits are capped per zone per day

A jeep carries six and permits are capped per zone per day, so for a large group the number of jeeps available in one zone on one morning is usually the real ceiling — not beds.
When to come
The months, honestly
- Nov – FebCold mornings and bonfires, and the hardest months to hold a large block. Ask early.
- Mar – AprWarm, dry and comfortable, and the best stretch of the year for an outdoor evening.
- May – JunHot by afternoon. Workable for a group that plans an early start and a long lunch, and easier to place.
- Jul – OctMonsoon. The core zones close and the southern gates stay open. The quietest months on the ground, and the easiest to hold a whole property.
Reopening dates are set by the Forest Department each year and we do not print one until it is confirmed. Ask us and we check the portal for your dates rather than guess.

Ask us, or ask them. We would rather you booked the right thing somewhere else than the wrong thing with us.
How many rooms in one block, in writing?
A property that says “we can manage” on the phone can mean forty rooms or twelve. Get the number and the rate on an email.
How many jeeps can you actually get?
Six to a jeep, and permits are capped per zone per day. For a large group this is the binding constraint, not accommodation.
Is the third bed a bed?
Triple sharing sometimes means a proper third bed and sometimes a mattress on the floor. For a three-night trip it matters.
One bill or thirty?
Consolidated billing sounds trivial until someone is collecting money from twenty-nine people at checkout.

Asked often
- What is the smallest group you will handle?
- Twelve. Below that it is an ordinary booking and you should not be paying group-tour attention for it.
- How large a group can stay on one property?
- It depends on the property and the season, and we confirm the block in writing before you commit. Above a certain size you are splitting across two properties, and we tell you that at the enquiry rather than after a deposit.
- Can you arrange the coach?
- Yes, from anywhere in Delhi NCR, sized to what can actually reach the property — which is not always a 45-seater.
- Can we mix room categories?
- At the larger properties, yes, and it is usually the right answer: people pay what they want to pay and still stay together. We will tell you which properties have the range for it on your dates.
- What if the group size changes?
- Tell us early. Room blocks have release dates, and the difference between adjusting at six weeks and at six days is most of the cost.
- Do you take payment on this site?
- No. We take no payment on this website at all. Any transfer is to the company account against an invoice, never to a personal account or a UPI number. If anyone asks you for an advance to a personal number in the name of a Corbett resort, it is a fraud — it is common here, which is why we say so on every page.
